Abstract: It is an interesting problem that how do we compress a large text file. In this talk, I will briefly introduce computational linguistics and report our recent work on this branch. Our new method is better than the zip file format.

报告人简介：莫群, 1994年在清华大学获得数学专业和计算机科学技术专业双学士学位。1997年在中国科学院数学研究所获得数学专业硕士学位，导师龙瑞麟。2003年8月在加拿大阿尔伯塔大学数学与统计系获得数学专业博士学位，导师韩斌。2003年9月至2006年12月在阿尔伯塔大学数学与统计系任讲师。2006年12月起在浙江大学数学系工作，现为副研究员，硕士生导师。研究方向为小波分析、压缩传感、信号处理和计算机图像等。主持两项国家自然科学基金面上项目。代表工作主要发表在《Applied and Computational Harmonic Analysis》，《SIAM Journal on Matrix Analysis and Applications》，《IEEE Transactions on Information Theory》，《IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing》等多个顶级期刊。
