报告人简介：张顺普，1997年在加拿大University of Alberta获得博士学位；1997-2004年担任美国University of Alaska Fairbanks终身制助理教授、终身副教授；2004-2009年担任University of Nebraska-Lincoln终身副教授、2009年至今任终身正教授；2010年至今兼任美国国家癌症研究所高级数理统计师。张顺普教授的研究领域包括主要研究领域包括Bayes and Empirical Bayes method, Markov chain, Hidden Markov chain, Nonparametric functional estimation at the boundary, Nonparametric deconvolution at the boundary, Statistical ecology, Bioinformatics and health informatics, Avian flu virus study, Genetic epidemiology, Multiple testing problems and their application in genetics, Genetic regulatory network and its graphical representation。他主持和参与了美国国家卫生研究院和内布拉斯加大学资助的多个研究项目并担任三个国际开源杂志的编委。迄今已在国际高层次学术期刊上发表了40余篇文章，其中许多有相当大的国际影响。
